Air temp. 40-70 Degrees

Wind was low to begin with but increased around 10AM.

The started slow with nothing biting on top water, senko, shallow crank, paddle tail, shallow jerk baits.

Around 10 I decided to find deeper water (6-11 ft) and switched to a deeper jerk bait in green/ivory and caught a 2 lb bass.

That was in about a depth of 6 ft and after several unsuccessful casts, I moved to depths of 8-11 ft and for the next 2 hours I caught 12 more ( 6 lb, 5 lb, 4 lb, 2 - 3.75 lb, 3.5 lb). That bite died around 1PM and I decided to head home as the wind was increasing.

This is the best I have ever done at this location.

Steve. Thanks. I was very (nicely) surprised.

Heck of a stringer Bill! Here I was all set to not think too much about fishing for a while - that lasted a minute.

Steve. That is the basic area. The boat is no longer there. There are two telephone posts along that bank. Use the post that is farthest from the dam, go about 30 yards more away from the dam and about 50 yards from that bank. I just circled that area fan casting the jerk bait.

Thank you. Just starting to fish more after some health issues. Looking to next year.

overall healthy. Had to have some surgery for a blockage in my leg. Doing well. Work out 5 times a week now. Looking forward to getting out again. Thanks for your concern. Last trip was San Saba earlier this spring.
