Mrs. Roberts ~

Village Power Berlin Ma

My name is Megan Roberts and I am one of the counselors at LVS. I came to Lakeland in September of 2015 and am so excited to see our students and campus grow! A little background about me, I grew up in Murrieta, CA since I was six years old. I attended MSJC where I received my A.A. in Social Sciences. I transferred to California State San Marcos where I obtained my B.A. in Social Sciences (Sociology and Psychology major with some Early Child Education thrown in). I received my M.A. in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Azusa Pacific University and in 2019 I become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I am married and have three crazy kids – Rivers (10), Mykel (7) and Jonas (2). I love spending my free time with my family and going to Disneyland.

Power

My passion is to help students and their families get the resources and support they need. I believe it's so empowering when we are equipped with the tools and resources to be able to make the best choice for ourselves (and when parents have the same tools and resources to guide their children).

Mrs. Tagney ~

My name is Shannon Tagney and I am the “other” counselor here at LVS. You can find me in the office on Thursdays or Fridays. I started at LVS in 2018, and I feel so blessed to be a part of the Bulldog family. A little about me, I have lived in the Temecula Valley since 1988, and gosh I have seen it change! I attended Azusa Pacific University out of high school, where I received a B.S. in Business Marketing. It only took a couple of years to realize the business field was not for me. After working as a recruiter for a nearby college, I fell in love with the counseling career. I wanted to be able to equip and support students and families in a way I had never experienced. This led me back to Azusa Pacific University to receive my M.A. in Educational Counseling, with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Just recently I went back to school to get my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) certificate, which will help me better serve our students and families. I am married with three children- Savannah (10), Ella (8) and Nixon (3). If I am not at home with my family, you can find me at swim practice with my girls.

I truly want what is best for all the students at LVS, and I hope to give families the tools needed to help their student succeed. I want to come along side families, collaborate, and be their advocate.

Our goal for this page to be a resource to students, parents and staff. The counseling page will always be a work in progress as we will update info and resources as much as we can! Please contact the counselors via email, phone and we appreciate setting up appointments so we can best serve our students and their families.
